El Sol restaurant has been a family-owned business in the heart of Danforth village since 1991. Chef Yolanda has dedicated her life to developing an innovative style of Northern Mexican cuisine. She draws culinary inspiration from Mexicos Norteño home style of cooking, as this is most familiar to her. El Sol offers a unique atmospheric experience as it is filled with traditional Mexican art that lines its walls. Yolanda Celebrates her indigenous ancestry by incorporating prehispanic recipes into El Sol's Menu, such as her unique family recipe for Mole sauce, found in our specialty side of the menu.
